# Marketplace Pricing Context

## Use this when

pricing intelligence, marketplace pricing, shopping keyword gaps, competitor pricing.

## Process

This team has no live connection to Google Shopping or Amazon Marketplace data — that requires a paid DataForSEO Merchant API integration Brainwrite doesn't have. When the user has their own export (a Shopping results scrape, a competitor price list, an Amazon category page saved as text), work from that pasted data rather than claiming to fetch it live.

From pasted marketplace data, produce: price distribution (min, max, median, and rough quartiles), price outliers more than roughly two standard deviations from the median, a price-to-rating correlation observation if rating data is present, and currency normalization notes if multiple currencies appear. Separately profile the seller landscape if seller data is present: top sellers by listing count, rating distribution across sellers, free-shipping prevalence, and any signal of new vs. established sellers.

For keyword-gap analysis, the user needs to supply both sides: their own organic keyword rankings (from whatever source they have) and Shopping-channel visibility for the same keywords. Cross-reference the two into four gap types: Organic Only (ranks organically, no Shopping presence — the action is creating a Merchant Center feed and bidding on the keyword), Shopping Only (Shopping visibility but weak organic — the action is content like buying guides or comparison pages), Both Present (optimize: keep price consistent, enhance schema), and Neither (low priority unless volume is genuinely high).

Always label output clearly as derived from user-supplied data with the data's own date, never as a live pull. If the user wants live Shopping/Amazon intelligence going forward, name the real requirement plainly: a DataForSEO Merchant API connection, which is a paid third-party service outside what this team can set up on its own.
