What it is

    Brief your Chief of Staff

“Use the Product Page SEO Audit skill for this: [describe the job]. Show me the plan first, and send, post or change nothing.”

  3. 3

    Approve what matters

The agent follows the skill and brings the result back. Anything that sends, posts or changes data waits for your approval in Ask mode.

Use this when

ecommerce SEO, product SEO, product page audit, product listings.

Process

Fetch the product page and check, weighted:

  • Schema completeness (25%): covered fully by the product-schema-markup playbook; a page without valid Product schema cannot score above this ceiling regardless of other strengths.
  • Title & meta (15%): title contains the primary product keyword and brand, format [Product Name] - [Key Feature] | [Brand], under 60 characters; meta description includes the keyword plus a benefit, ideally a price or "from $XX" signal, a call to action, under 155 characters.
  • Image optimization (20%): descriptive alt text naming the product and a distinguishing feature (not the filename), descriptive file names, WebP with a JPEG fallback, at least 3 images (hero/detail/lifestyle), each 800px or larger for Shopping eligibility, lazy-loading only on below-fold images.
  • Content quality (20%): a genuinely unique product description, not manufacturer boilerplate copy-pasted across every retailer carrying the product; at least 200 words in the description body; a specs table, not just prose; visible user reviews as a UGC signal.
  • Internal linking (10%): breadcrumb navigation (Home > Category > Subcategory > Product), a related/cross-sell products section, a keyword-rich link back to the category page, a link to the full reviews page if reviews live on a separate page.
  • Technical (10%): page speed, mobile rendering, canonical tag correctness — cross-reference the general SEO team's technical-seo-audit playbook for the full technical pass if one is available.

Flag single H1 per page matching the primary product name, with no duplicate H1s across product variants, and H2s reserved for Features/Specifications/Reviews/Related Products.

Report a scored breakdown by category, specific fixes ranked by impact, and note explicitly when a check (like live Shopping eligibility) can't be verified without a paid Merchant API connection this team doesn't have.
